Oscanner is an Oracle assessment framework developed in Java. It has a plugin-based architecture and comes with a couple of plugins that currently do:

  • Sid Enumeration
  • Passwords tests (common & dictionary)
  • Enumerate Oracle version
  • Enumerate account roles
  • Enumerate account privileges
  • Enumerate account hashes
  • Enumerate audit information
  • Enumerate password policies
  • Enumerate database links

The results are given in a graphical java tree.

There are three methods to install oscanner on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install oscanner Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install oscanner using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install oscanner
