How To Install openwsman on Ubuntu 20.04

What is openwsman
openwsman is:
Openwsman is a project intended to provide an open-source implementation of the Web Services Management specification (WS-Management) and to expose system management information on the Linux operating system using the WS-Management protocol. WS-Management is based on a suite of web services specifications and usage requirements that exposes a set of operations focused on and covers all system management aspects.
This package provides a basic WS Manager daemon.
There are three methods to install openwsman on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openwsman Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openwsman using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openwsman
Install openwsman Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install openwsman using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install openwsman
Install openwsman Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install openwsman using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openwsman
How To Uninstall openwsman on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the openwsman package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openwsman
Uninstall openwsman And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openwsman and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openwsman
Remove openwsman Configurations and Data
To remove openwsman configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openwsman
Remove openwsman configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openwsman configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openwsman
