How To Install openstack-tempest-ci on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install openstack-tempest-ci on Kali Linux.
What is openstack-tempest-ci
openstack-tempest-ci is:
OpenStack is a reliable cloud infrastructure. Its mission is to produce the ubiquitous cloud computing platform that will meet the needs of public and private cloud providers regardless of size, by being simple to implement and massively scalable.
This package is to be used to validate OpenStack packages against the tempest functional testing suite. It uses openstack-deploy to install a full OpenStack deployment on a single virtual machine running itself on an OpenStack cloud, using Qemu as hypervisor. Then the Tempest unit tests will be run.
Typically, this package is to be installed on a Jenkins machine and it’s script shall be run on regular basis.
There are three methods to install openstack-tempest-ci on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openstack-tempest-ci Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install openstack-tempest-ci using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openstack-tempest-ciInstall openstack-tempest-ci Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install openstack-tempest-ci using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install openstack-tempest-ciInstall openstack-tempest-ci Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install openstack-tempest-ci using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openstack-tempest-ciHow To Uninstall openstack-tempest-ci on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the openstack-tempest-ci package we can use the following command:

To uninstall openstack-tempest-ci and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openstack-tempest-ciRemove openstack-tempest-ci Configurations and Data
To remove openstack-tempest-ci configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openstack-tempest-ciRemove openstack-tempest-ci configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
