How To Install openstack-cloud-services on Debian 9

What is openstack-cloud-services
openstack-cloud-services is:
OpenStack is a reliable cloud infrastructure. Its mission is to produce the ubiquitous cloud computing platform that will meet the needs of public and private cloud providers regardless of size, by being simple to implement and massively scalable.
This metapackage will install memcached, rabbitmq and MySQL servers, which are all needed in order to run an Openstack cloud service.
There are three methods to install openstack-cloud-services
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openstack-cloud-services Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openstack-cloud-services
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openstack-cloud-services
Install openstack-cloud-services Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install openstack-cloud-services
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install openstack-cloud-services
Install openstack-cloud-services Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install openstack-cloud-services
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openstack-cloud-services
How To Uninstall openstack-cloud-services on Debian 9
To uninstall only the openstack-cloud-services
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openstack-cloud-services
Uninstall openstack-cloud-services And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openstack-cloud-services
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openstack-cloud-services
Remove openstack-cloud-services Configurations and Data
To remove openstack-cloud-services
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openstack-cloud-services
Remove openstack-cloud-services configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openstack-cloud-services
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openstack-cloud-services
