What is openscap-doc
openscap-doc is:
OpenSCAP is a set of open source libraries providing an easier path for integration of the SCAP line of standards. SCAP is a line of standards managed by NIST with the goal of providing a standard language for the expression of Computer Network Defense related information.
The intended scope of this project is to implement working interface wrappers for parsing and querying SCAP content including:
- Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)
- Common Configuration Enumeration (CCE)

There are three methods to install openscap-doc
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install openscap-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openscap-doc

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall openscap-doc on Debian 12
