How To Install openjade on CentOS 8

What is openjade
OpenJade is an implementation of the ISO/IEC 10179 (Document Style Semantics and Specification Language). OpenJade is based on James Clark’s Jade implementation of DSSSL. OpenJade is a command-line application and a set of components. The DSSSL engine inputs an SGML or XML document and can output a variety of formats XML, RTF, TeX, MIF (FrameMaker), SGML, or XML. We can use yum or dnf to install openjade on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install openjade.
Install openjade on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install openjade using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install openjade
Install openjade on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install openjade using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install openjade
How To Uninstall openjade on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the openjade package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove openjade
