How To Install openhpi-plugin-ipmi on Kali Linux

OpenHPI is an implementation of the Service Availability Forum’s Hardware Platform Interface specification. (See http://www.saforum.org) As such, OpenHPI facilitates the development of computer manageability applications which are not tied to a single hardware vendor’s products.
This package contains a plugin module that accesses hardware information through the OpenIPMI library.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install openhpi-plugin-ipmi
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openhpi-plugin-ipmi
How To Uninstall openhpi-plugin-ipmi on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the openhpi-plugin-ipmi
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openhpi-plugin-ipmi
Uninstall openhpi-plugin-ipmi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openhpi-plugin-ipmi
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openhpi-plugin-ipmi
Remove openhpi-plugin-ipmi Configurations and Data
To remove openhpi-plugin-ipmi
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openhpi-plugin-ipmi
Remove openhpi-plugin-ipmi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openhpi-plugin-ipmi

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openhpi-plugin-ipmi
