OpenDNSSEC is a complete DNSSEC zone signing system which is very easy to use with stability and security in mind. There are a lot of details in signing zone files with DNSSEC and OpenDNSSEC covers most of it.

This package contains common configuration files and creates default user, group and opendnssec directories.

There are three methods to install opendnssec-common on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install opendnssec-common Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install opendnssec-common using apt-get by running the following command:
