What is opencryptoki-tpmtok
Opencryptoki implements the PKCS#11 specification v2.11 for a set of cryptographic hardware, such as IBM 4764 and 4765 crypto cards, and the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip. Opencryptoki also brings a software token implementation that can be used without any cryptographic hardware. This package brings the necessary libraries and files to support Trusted Platform Module (TPM) devices in the opencryptoki stack. We can use yum
or dnf
to install opencryptoki-tpmtok
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install opencryptoki-tpmtok.
Install opencryptoki-tpmtok on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install opencryptoki-tpmtok
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install opencryptoki-tpmtok
Install opencryptoki-tpmtok on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install opencryptoki-tpmtok
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install opencryptoki-tpmtok
How To Uninstall opencryptoki-tpmtok on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the opencryptoki-tpmtok
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove opencryptoki-tpmtok
