What is openaptx-utils
openaptx-utils is:
Support for aptX and aptX HD?codec variants; they both operate on raw 24-bit signed stereo audio sample; at 6:1 fixed compress ratio for aptX; at 4:1 fixed compress ratio for aptX HD.
This package contains the simple openaptxenc and openaptxdec utilities.
There are three methods to install openaptx-utils on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openaptx-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openaptx-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openaptx-utils

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install openaptx-utils using apt by running the following command:

To uninstall only the openaptx-utils package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove openaptx-utils

To remove openaptx-utils configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openaptx-utils
