How To Install open-invaders on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install open-invaders on Kali Linux.

What is open-invaders

open-invaders is:

Space Invaders is one of the earliest arcade shoot ’em up games. The player can move horizontally across the bottom of the screen and must shoot at an incoming wave of aliens before they reach the bottom.

Open Invaders is a clone of the legendary 70’s classic, but with completely new graphics, several bonus levels, etc.

There are three methods to install open-invaders on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install open-invaders Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install open-invaders using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install open-invaders

Install open-invaders Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install open-invaders using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install open-invaders

Install open-invaders Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install open-invaders using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install open-invaders

How To Uninstall open-invaders on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the open-invaders package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove open-invaders

Uninstall open-invaders And Its Dependencies

To uninstall open-invaders and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove open-invaders

Remove open-invaders Configurations and Data

To remove open-invaders configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge open-invaders

Remove open-invaders configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove open-invaders configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge open-invaders
