How To Install open-adventure on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is open-adventure
open-adventure is:
This is the last descendent of the original 1976 Colossal Cave Adventure worked on by the original authors – Crowther & Woods. It has sometimes been known as Adventure 2.5. The original PDP-10 name ‘advent’ is used for the built program to avoid collision with the BSD Games version.
There are three methods to install open-adventure
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install open-adventure Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install open-adventure
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install open-adventure
Install open-adventure Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install open-adventure
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install open-adventure
Install open-adventure Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install open-adventure
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install open-adventure
How To Uninstall open-adventure on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the open-adventure
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove open-adventure
Uninstall open-adventure And Its Dependencies
To uninstall open-adventure
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove open-adventure
Remove open-adventure Configurations and Data
To remove open-adventure
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge open-adventure
Remove open-adventure configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove open-adventure
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge open-adventure
