How To Install octave-zeromq on Debian 12

What is octave-zeromq
octave-zeromq is:
ZeroMQ is a library which extends the standard socket interfaces, providing an abstraction of asynchronous message queues, multiple messaging patterns, message filtering (subscriptions), seamless access to multiple transport protocols and more. This package contains the binding to the ZeroMQ library for use in Octave, a scientific computation software.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-zeromq on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install octave-zeromq Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-zeromq using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install octave-zeromq
Install octave-zeromq Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-zeromq using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install octave-zeromq
Install octave-zeromq Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-zeromq using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install octave-zeromq
How To Uninstall octave-zeromq on Debian 12
To uninstall only the octave-zeromq package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove octave-zeromq
Uninstall octave-zeromq And Its Dependencies
To uninstall octave-zeromq and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-zeromq
Remove octave-zeromq Configurations and Data
To remove octave-zeromq configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-zeromq
Remove octave-zeromq configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
