What is octave-vrml
octave-vrml is:
This package provides functions to do 3D graphics using VRML in Octave a numerical computation software. It allows the visualization of sets of 3D points, 3D curves, surfaces, etc using Octave, in conjunction with the VRML browser FreeWRL.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-vrml
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install octave-vrml Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-vrml
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install octave-vrml

After updating apt database, We can install octave-vrml

Install octave-vrml Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-vrml
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install octave-vrml
How To Uninstall octave-vrml on Debian 12
To uninstall only the octave-vrml
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove octave-vrml
Uninstall octave-vrml And Its Dependencies
To uninstall octave-vrml
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-vrml
Remove octave-vrml Configurations and Data
To remove octave-vrml
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-vrml
Remove octave-vrml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove octave-vrml
