The TSA toolbox is useful for analysing Time Series. The methods are based on stochastic concepts and maximum entropy methods. The programs should be compatible to Matlab as well as Octave. It includes Stochastic Signal processing, Autoregressive Model Identification, maximum entropy spectral estimation, and much more.

This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.

There are three methods to install octave-tsa on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install octave-tsa Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install octave-tsa using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install octave-tsa

Install octave-tsa Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install octave-tsa using apt by running the following command:

Install octave-tsa Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
