How To Install octave-parallel on Ubuntu 18.04

What is octave-parallel
octave-parallel is:
This is a package to add parallel computing functions to Octave. The parallel computing functions are supported without any additional parallel computing libraries such as MPI and PVM.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-parallel
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install octave-parallel Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-parallel
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install octave-parallel
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install octave-parallel
Install octave-parallel Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-parallel

sudo apt-get remove octave-parallel

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-parallel
Remove octave-parallel Configurations and Data
To remove octave-parallel
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-parallel
