How To Install octave-mapping on Kali Linux

What is octave-mapping
octave-mapping is:
This package contains simple mapping and GIS .shp and raster file functions for Octave, a numerical computation software. It includes functions for computing angular distances and displacements between points on a sphere, as well as the great circle azimuth.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-mapping on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install octave-mapping Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install octave-mapping using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install octave-mappingInstall octave-mapping Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install octave-mapping using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install octave-mappingInstall octave-mapping Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install octave-mapping using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the octave-mapping package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-mappingRemove octave-mapping Configurations and Data
To remove octave-mapping configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-mappingRemove octave-mapping configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
