This package provides functions for reading, writing, and processing images to Octave, a numerical computation software. The package supports almost all image formats through the use of ImageMagick. The package also provides functions for feature extraction, image statistics, spatial and geometric transformations, morphological operations, linear filtering, and much more.

This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.

There are three methods to install octave-image on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install octave-image Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get -y purge octave-image
