How To Install octave-arduino on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install octave-arduino on Kali Linux.
What is octave-arduino
octave-arduino is:
Basic Octave implementation of the matlab arduino extension, allowing communication to a programmed arduino board to control its hardware.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-arduino on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install octave-arduino Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install octave-arduino using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install octave-arduinoInstall octave-arduino Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install octave-arduino using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the octave-arduino package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-arduinoRemove octave-arduino Configurations and Data
To remove octave-arduino configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-arduinoRemove octave-arduino configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
