How To Install ocp-indent on Ubuntu 18.04

What is ocp-indent
ocp-indent is:
ocp-indent is a command-line tool that allows one to indent a whole OCaml source code file (or parts of it) either to standard output or in-place. A configuration file allows user defaults as well as per-project parameters. The ratio of correctly indented lines is comparable with emacs tuareg mode while being an order of magnitude faster.
This package includes the runtime binary and the vim and emacs extensions.
There are three methods to install ocp-indent on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ocp-indent Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ocp-indent using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ocp-indent
Install ocp-indent Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ocp-indent using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ocp-indent
Install ocp-indent Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ocp-indent using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ocp-indent
How To Uninstall ocp-indent on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the ocp-indent package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ocp-indent
Uninstall ocp-indent And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ocp-indent and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ocp-indent
Remove ocp-indent Configurations and Data
To remove ocp-indent configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ocp-indent
Remove ocp-indent configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ocp-indent configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ocp-indent
