How To Install ocp-indent on Kali Linux

What is ocp-indent

ocp-indent is:

ocp-indent is a command-line tool that allows one to indent a whole OCaml source code file (or parts of it) either to standard output or in-place. A configuration file allows user defaults as well as per-project parameters. The ratio of correctly indented lines is comparable with emacs tuareg mode while being an order of magnitude faster.

This package includes the runtime binary and the vim and emacs extensions.

There are three methods to install ocp-indent on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ocp-indent Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

Install ocp-indent Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ocp-indent using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ocp-indent

To uninstall only the ocp-indent package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ocp-indent

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ocp-indent
