What is ocaml-xml-light

Xml-Light is a minimal XML parser & printer for OCaml. It provides functions to parse an XML document into an OCaml data structure, work with it, and print it back to an XML document. It support also DTD parsing and checking, and is entirely written in OCaml, hence it does not require additional C library.

We can use yum or dnf to install ocaml-xml-light on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ocaml-xml-light.

Install ocaml-xml-light on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install ocaml-xml-light using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install ocaml-xml-light

Install ocaml-xml-light on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install ocaml-xml-light using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install ocaml-xml-light

How To Uninstall ocaml-xml-light on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the ocaml-xml-light package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove ocaml-xml-light
