How To Install ocaml-source on Ubuntu 20.04

What is ocaml-source
ocaml-source is:
Objective Caml (OCaml) is an implementation of the ML language, based on the Caml Light dialect extended with a complete class-based object system and a powerful module system in the style of Standard ML.
This package contains the sources needed to build some packages which build depend on the OCaml source. Notice that if you want to rebuild OCaml, these will not work, consider using the source package instead.
There are three methods to install ocaml-source on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ocaml-source Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-source using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ocaml-source
Install ocaml-source Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-source using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ocaml-source
Install ocaml-source Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-source using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ocaml-source
How To Uninstall ocaml-source on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the ocaml-source package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ocaml-source
Uninstall ocaml-source And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ocaml-source and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ocaml-source
Remove ocaml-source Configurations and Data
To remove ocaml-source configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ocaml-source
Remove ocaml-source configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ocaml-source configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ocaml-source
