How To Install ocaml-mode on Debian 9

What is ocaml-mode
ocaml-mode is:
Objective (OCaml) is an implementation of the ML language, based on the Caml Light dialect extended with a complete class-based object system and a powerful module system in the style of Standard ML.
This package provides support for editing both Objective Caml and Caml Light programs with Emacs and XEmacs.

There are three methods to install ocaml-mode on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ocaml-mode Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-mode using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ocaml-mode

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-mode using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ocaml-mode
Install ocaml-mode Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-mode using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ocaml-mode
How To Uninstall ocaml-mode on Debian 9
To uninstall only the ocaml-mode package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ocaml-mode
Uninstall ocaml-mode And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ocaml-mode and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ocaml-mode
Remove ocaml-mode Configurations and Data
To remove ocaml-mode configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ocaml-mode
Remove ocaml-mode configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ocaml-mode configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ocaml-mode
