What is ocaml-fileutils

This library is intended to provide a basic interface to the most common file and filename operations. It provides several different filename functions make_relative… It also enables you to manipulate real files cp, mv, rm, touch… It is separated into two modules one manipulates real files, the second one is made for manipulating abstract filenames.

We can use yum or dnf to install ocaml-fileutils on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ocaml-fileutils.

Install ocaml-fileutils on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install ocaml-fileutils using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install ocaml-fileutils

Install ocaml-fileutils on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install ocaml-fileutils using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install ocaml-fileutils

How To Uninstall ocaml-fileutils on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the ocaml-fileutils package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove ocaml-fileutils
