How To Install nwrite on Kali Linux

What is nwrite
nwrite is:
Nwrite is a replacement for the standard write program that lets you write directly to the terminal of another logged-in user without the overhead of talk taking over the full screen or the other user having to respond first.
Nwrite’s advantages over traditional write include the ability to send the same message simultaneously to multiple users, and a receiver-configurable message format, including a tag at the start of each line that identifies the sender.
There are three methods to install nwrite
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nwrite Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nwrite
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nwrite

After updating apt database, We can install nwrite

Install nwrite Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nwrite
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install nwrite
How To Uninstall nwrite on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the nwrite
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nwrite

sudo apt-get -y autoremove nwrite
