How To Install nunit on AlmaLinux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install nunit on AlmaLinux 8.
What is nunit
NUnit is a unit testing framework for all .NET languages. It serves the same purpose as JUnit does in the Java world. It supports test categories, testing for exceptions and writing test results in plain text or XML. NUnit targets the CLI (Common Language Infrastructure) and supports Mono and the Microsoft .NET Framework.
We can use yum or dnf to install nunit on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nunit.
Install nunit on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nunit using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nunit
Install nunit on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nunit using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nunit
How To Uninstall nunit on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the nunit package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nunit
