How To Install ntfs-config on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is ntfs-config
ntfs-config is:
This program allow you to easily configure all of your NTFS devices to allow write support via a friendly gui. For that use, it will configure them to use the open source ntfs-3g driver. You’ll also be able to easily disable this feature.
It just so happens that this program is a newer and improved version, but very few people know about it. It’s better to install the disk-manager.
There are three methods to install ntfs-config
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ntfs-config Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ntfs-config
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ntfs-config

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ntfs-config
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ntfs-config
Install ntfs-config Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ntfs-config
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ntfs-config
How To Uninstall ntfs-config on Debian 9
To uninstall only the ntfs-config
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ntfs-config
Uninstall ntfs-config And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ntfs-config
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ntfs-config
Remove ntfs-config Configurations and Data
To remove ntfs-config
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ntfs-config
Remove ntfs-config configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ntfs-config
