How To Install nsight-compute-target on Debian 12

NVIDIA Nsight Compute is an interactive kernel profiler for CUDA applications. It provides detailed performance metrics and API debugging via a user interface and command line tool. In addition, its baseline feature allows users to compare results within the tool. Nsight Compute provides a customizable and data-driven user interface and metric collection and can be extended with analysis scripts for post-processing results.
This package contains the target specific libraries.
There are three methods to install nsight-compute-target on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nsight-compute-target Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nsight-compute-target using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nsight-compute-target

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nsight-compute-target using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
