How To Install nq on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install nq on Kali Linux.
What is nq
nq is:
These small utilities allow creating very lightweight job queue systems which require no setup, maintenance, supervision, or any long-running processes.
nq should run on any POSIX.1-2008 compliant system which also
provides a working flock(2). Tested on Linux 2.6.37, Linux 4.1,
OpenBSD 5.7, FreeBSD 10.1, Mac OS X 10.3 and
SmartOS joyent_20160304T005100Z.
There are three methods to install nq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nq Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nq using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nqInstall nq Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nq using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nqInstall nq Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nq using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nqHow To Uninstall nq on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the nq package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nqUninstall nq And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nq and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nqRemove nq Configurations and Data
To remove nq configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nqRemove nq configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nq configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nqDependencies
