How To Install nova-doc on Debian 9

What is nova-doc

OpenStack Compute, codenamed Nova, is a cloud computing fabric controller designed to be modular and easy to extend and adapt. In addition to its “native” OpenStack API, it also supports the Amazon EC2 API, and it supports many different database backends (including SQLite, MySQL, and PostgreSQL), hypervisors (KVM, Xen), and user directory systems (LDAP, SQL).

There are three methods to install nova-doc on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nova-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nova-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nova-doc
Install nova-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nova-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nova-doc
Install nova-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nova-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nova-doc
How To Uninstall nova-doc on Debian 9
To uninstall only the nova-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nova-doc
Uninstall nova-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nova-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nova-doc
Remove nova-doc Configurations and Data
To remove nova-doc configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nova-doc
Remove nova-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nova-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nova-doc
