What is nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd

NorduGrid is a collaboration aiming at development, maintenance and support of the middleware, known as the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC). This package contains the ARC gridftp server which can be used as a custom job submission interface in front of an ARC enabled computing cluster or as a low-level dedicated gridftp file server.

We can use yum or dnf to install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd.

Install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd using yum by running the following command:

Install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd

How To Uninstall nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove nordugrid-arc6-gridftpd
