What is nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes
NorduGrid is a collaboration aiming at development, maintenance and support of the middleware, known as the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC). Community RTEs is the framework that allows deploying software packages (tarballs, containers, etc) provided by trusted communities to ARC CE using simple arcctl commands. It is released as a technology preview.
We can use yum or dnf to install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes.
Install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes
Install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes
How To Uninstall nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nordugrid-arc6-community-rtes
