What is nordugrid-arc-hed
NorduGrid is a collaboration aiming at development, maintenance and support of the middleware, known as the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC). The ARC Hosting Environment Daemon (HED) is a Web Service container for ARC services.
We can use yum or dnf to install nordugrid-arc-hed on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nordugrid-arc-hed.
Install nordugrid-arc-hed on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc-hed using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nordugrid-arc-hed
Install nordugrid-arc-hed on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc-hed using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nordugrid-arc-hed
How To Uninstall nordugrid-arc-hed on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the nordugrid-arc-hed package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nordugrid-arc-hed
