What is nordugrid-arc-acix-cache
NorduGrid is a collaboration aiming at development, maintenance and support of the free Grid middleware, known as the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC). Cache server component of the ARC Cache Index (ACIX), usually installed alongside A-REX. This component collects information on the content of an A-REX cache.
We can use yum or dnf to install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache.
Install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache
Install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nordugrid-arc-acix-cache
How To Uninstall nordugrid-arc-acix-cache on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the nordugrid-arc-acix-cache package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nordugrid-arc-acix-cache
