What is nopaste
This application lets you post text to pastebins from the command line. Pastebins (also known as nopaste sites) let you post text, usually code, for public viewing. They’re used a lot in IRC channels to show code that would normally be too long to give directly in the channel (hence the name nopaste).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install nopaste
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nopaste.
Install nopaste on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nopaste
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nopaste
Install nopaste on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nopaste
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nopaste
How To Uninstall nopaste on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the nopaste
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nopaste
