How To Install node-yjs on Debian 12

What is node-yjs

Yjs is a conflict-free replicated data type (CRDT) implementation that exposes its internal data structure as shared types. Shared types are common data types like Map or Array with superpowers: changes are automatically distributed to other peers and merged without merge conflicts.
Yjs is network agnostic (p2p!), supports many existing rich text editors, offline editing, version snapshots, undo/redo and shared cursors. It scales well with an unlimited number of users and is well suited for even large documents.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-yjs on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-yjs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-yjs using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-yjs

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install node-yjs using apt by running the following command:

Install node-yjs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install node-yjs using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install node-yjs
How To Uninstall node-yjs on Debian 12
To uninstall only the node-yjs package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-yjs
Uninstall node-yjs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-yjs and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-yjs
Remove node-yjs Configurations and Data
To remove node-yjs configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-yjs
Remove node-yjs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
