How To Install node-vhost on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install node-vhost
on Kali Linux.
What is node-vhost
node-vhost is:
This module allows one to match incoming http requests to given host-server pairs, also known as virtual hosts.
It only works with in-process Request and Server Node.js objects, in particular it is not a proxy.
Connect is an extensible HTTP server framework.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-vhost
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-vhost Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-vhost
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-vhost

After updating apt database, We can install node-vhost

by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install node-vhost
Install node-vhost Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install node-vhost
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install node-vhost
How To Uninstall node-vhost on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the node-vhost
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-vhost
Uninstall node-vhost And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-vhost
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-vhost
Remove node-vhost Configurations and Data
To remove node-vhost
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-vhost
Remove node-vhost configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove node-vhost
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
