node-text-encoding is:

Provides a polyfill for the Encoding Living Standard’s API for the Web, allowing encoding and decoding of textual data to and from Typed Array buffers for binary data in JavaScript.

Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.

There are three methods to install node-text-encoding on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install node-text-encoding Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install node-text-encoding using apt-get by running the following command:
