What is node-terser

node-terser is:

Terser is a parser, mangler, optimizer and beautifier toolkit for ECMAScript 2015 and newer (ES6+).

terser is a fork of uglify-es that retains API and CLI compatibility with uglify-es (Debian packages node-uglify-js, libjs-uglify-js, and uglifyjs).

ECMAScript 2015 (ES2015) a.k.a. ECMAScript 6 (ES6) is the 6th formal definition of JavaScript - a high-level, interpreted programming language most notably used in web browsers and in Node.js.

This package contains Terser usable with Node.js.

There are three methods to install node-terser on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install node-terser Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install node-terser using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install node-terser

Install node-terser Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install node-terser using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install node-terser

Install node-terser Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install node-terser using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install node-terser

How To Uninstall node-terser on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the node-terser package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove node-terser

Uninstall node-terser And Its Dependencies

To uninstall node-terser and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-terser

Remove node-terser Configurations and Data

To remove node-terser configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge node-terser

Remove node-terser configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove node-terser configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-terser
