How To Install node-q on Kali Linux

What is node-q
node-q is:
Q is a tool for creating and composing asynchronous promises in JavaScript.
If a function cannot return a value or throw an exception without blocking, it can return a promise instead. A promise is an object that represents the return value or the thrown exception that the function may eventually provide. A promise can also be used as a proxy for a remote object to overcome latency.
This package contains the q module for Node.js.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-q
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-q Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-q
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-q

After updating apt database, We can install node-q

Install node-q Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install node-q
using aptitude

How To Uninstall node-q on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the node-q
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-q

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-q
