How To Install node-parents on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install node-parents on Kali Linux.
What is node-parents
node-parents is:
This module return a list of all parent directories of a given directory.
This modules is useful for creating find(1) clone in pure javascript.
This module is a dependency of browserify, a tool that allows one to write Node.js-style modules that compile for use in the browser.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-parents on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-parents Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-parents using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-parentsInstall node-parents Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-parents using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the node-parents package we can use the following command:

To uninstall node-parents and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

To remove node-parents configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
