How To Install node-p-locate on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install node-p-locate on Kali Linux.
What is node-p-locate
node-p-locate is:
Get the first fulfilled promise that satisfies the provided testing function.
Array.prototype.find(): The find() method returns the value of the first element in the array that satisfies the provided testing function. p-locate is async version of this function.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-p-locate on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-p-locate Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-p-locate using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-p-locateInstall node-p-locate Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-p-locate using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install node-p-locateInstall node-p-locate Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the node-p-locate package we can use the following command:

To uninstall node-p-locate and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-p-locateRemove node-p-locate Configurations and Data
To remove node-p-locate configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-p-locateRemove node-p-locate configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
