How To Install node-macaddress on Ubuntu 18.04

What is node-macaddress
node-macaddress is:
node-macaddress is a nodejs library that retrieves the MAC addresses (hardware addresses) of the host’s network interfaces. It provides a convenient wrapper of os.networkInterfaces() call.
If the host system has more than one network interface, it will automatically pick one appropriate interface if you’are only interested in one MAC address identifying the host system.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-macaddress on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-macaddress Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-macaddress using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-macaddress

To uninstall only the node-macaddress package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-macaddress

To remove node-macaddress configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-macaddress
