How To Install node-lunr on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install node-lunr on Kali Linux.
What is node-lunr
node-lunr is:
Lunr.js is a small, full-text search library for use in the browser. It indexes JSON documents and provides a simple search interface for retrieving documents that best match text queries.
This package provides Lunr for use with Node.js - an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-lunr on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-lunr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-lunr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-lunrInstall node-lunr Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-lunr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install node-lunrInstall node-lunr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-lunr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install node-lunrHow To Uninstall node-lunr on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the node-lunr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-lunrUninstall node-lunr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-lunr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-lunrRemove node-lunr Configurations and Data
To remove node-lunr configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-lunrRemove node-lunr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove node-lunr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-lunrDependencies
