How To Install node-jsonstream on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install node-jsonstream on Kali Linux.
What is node-jsonstream
node-jsonstream is:
JSONStream.parse(pattern, map) provide a function that can be used to map or filter the json output. map is passed the value at that node of the pattern, if map return non-nullish (anything but null or undefined) that value will be emitted in the stream. If it returns a nullish value, nothing will be emitted.
JSONStream also emits ‘header’ and ‘footer’ events, the ‘header’ event contains anything in the output that was before the first match, and the ‘footer’, is anything after the last match.
There are three methods to install node-jsonstream on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-jsonstream Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-jsonstream using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-jsonstreamInstall node-jsonstream Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-jsonstream using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install node-jsonstream using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install node-jsonstreamHow To Uninstall node-jsonstream on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the node-jsonstream package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-jsonstreamUninstall node-jsonstream And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-jsonstream and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-jsonstreamRemove node-jsonstream Configurations and Data
To remove node-jsonstream configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-jsonstreamRemove node-jsonstream configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove node-jsonstream configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
