How To Install node-getpass on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install node-getpass on Kali Linux.

What is node-getpass

node-getpass is:

This library can be used to get a password from the terminal. Even though it sounds simple and sounds like the readline module should be able to do it. But readline module does not support it.

If available, this uses /dev/tty to avoid interfering with any data being piped in or out of stdio. This function prints a prompt (by default Password:) and then accepts input without echoing.

After updating apt database, We can install node-getpass using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install node-getpass

How To Uninstall node-getpass on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the node-getpass package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove node-getpass

Uninstall node-getpass And Its Dependencies

To uninstall node-getpass and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-getpass

Remove node-getpass Configurations and Data

To remove node-getpass configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge node-getpass

Remove node-getpass configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove node-getpass configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
