How To Install node-esquery on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install node-esquery on Kali Linux.

What is node-esquery

node-esquery is:

ESQuery is a library for querying the AST output by Esprima for patterns of syntax using a CSS style selector system.

Esprima is a high performance, standard-compliant ECMAScript parser written in ECMAScript (also popularly known as JavaScript).

An abstract syntax tree (AST) is a tree representation of the abstract syntactic structure of source code written in a programming language. Each node of the tree denotes a construct occurring in the source code.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language like HTML.

There are three methods to install node-esquery on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install node-esquery Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install node-esquery using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install node-esquery
