In this tutorial we learn how to install node-clarinet on Kali Linux.

What is node-clarinet

node-clarinet is:

clarinet is a Node.js module which provides a streaming parser for JSON. clarinet is inspired (and forked) from sax-js.

clarenet is intended to create better full text support in Node.js. Creating indexes out of large (or many) JSON files does not require a full understanding of the JSON file, but it does require something like clarinet.

Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.

There are three methods to install node-clarinet on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install node-clarinet Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install node-clarinet using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install node-clarinet

Install node-clarinet Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install node-clarinet using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install node-clarinet

Install node-clarinet Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install node-clarinet using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install node-clarinet

How To Uninstall node-clarinet on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the node-clarinet package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove node-clarinet

Uninstall node-clarinet And Its Dependencies

To uninstall node-clarinet and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-clarinet

Remove node-clarinet Configurations and Data

To remove node-clarinet configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge node-clarinet

Remove node-clarinet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove node-clarinet configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-clarinet
