How To Install node-channels on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install node-channels
on Debian 9.
What is node-channels
node-channels is:
Channels keeps your messages in order for different endpoints (channels) of your Node.js application.
In Etherpad Channels is used to ensure changes for specific pads have their own channel (gateway) and changesets (planes) are assigned to specific channels (gateways).
Channels is useful if you need to have lots of different I/O operations on different endpoints that you need to keep in order.
There are three methods to install node-channels
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-channels Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-channels
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-channels

How To Uninstall node-channels on Debian 9
To uninstall only the node-channels
package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-channels
Remove node-channels Configurations and Data
To remove node-channels
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
